The Garden
KWIK-E-MART
This is the road leading to the garden at Riverview.
A beautiful and natural area,
despite a bit of highway noise
that filters up through the woods from down the hill.
This rock stairway leads into the gardens just off the road.
It's a beautiful maze of pathways and gathering spots
left over from the doctor's houses which have long since been torn down.
There are a number of rest spots like these.
There's even a water tap for the thirsty hiker.
Isn't this place sweet?
My brother and I were there last night and got a bit of a shock when a bear and her cub blocked our path.
There was a stand off for about five minutes while the bear shuffled from side to side, waiting for us to make our move.
My brother rattled his keys and I coughed quite loud until the bear finally turned and went off into the brush followed by her baby.
The local 7-11 was transformed into The Simpson's Kwik-E-Mart to promote the movie.
